Vintage Timepieces with a Modern Twist

Welcome to A Time For Tea, a vision that was born out of my love for good tea and vintage watches and has, over the last year, evolved into what you see today.  Wonderfully unique, hand made items which make fantastic gifts for all occassions - or why not treat yourself!

All of my tea infusers, lamps and jewellery are handmade with vintage watch parts, real tea leaves and a little sparkle.  Each individual watch part and tea leaf is carefully chosen, matched and positioned which means each unique piece is made with lots of love and takes at least 2 days to make.  All infusers are embellished with natural gemstones and/or vintage crystals.

Available for sale on Etsy.  I am always happy to discuss a commission order or put together a special order.  Gift messages can be added at no extra cost.  If you have any requirements or questions please get in touch.

2024 Collections

Following on from our successful 2023 collections I am very excited to tell you about our new collections which will be available soon:

  • the Inspired by Alice Collection has been extended and now includes new cocktail stirrers, tea spoons and new style tea infusers and lamps, all containing our trade mark vintage watch parts and real tea leaves.

  • the Nature Collection - by popular request I have put together a range of tea infusers, keyrings and ring holders that do not contain any tea or watch parts but have real pressed or dried flowers, grasses and seeds in instead.

  • Natural Gemstomes  - tea infusers embellished with natural, shaped or carved gemstones.  Beautiful, and natural stones - not synthentic.

    How do they work?

I have been asked how tea infusers work.  You might think this is a silly question - no, not all.  The only silly question is an unasked one.

So, each tea infuser has a mesh ball (or shape that will come apart).  This is made from food grade stainless steel and is used to hold the loose leaf tea that you are looking to enjoy.

You will see there is a lever - pull this up and the mesh ball will open into 2 halves.  Put some loose leaf tea in and then close the 2 halves together again.  There is a little locating peg.  Once closed  push the lever back down to secure the 2 halves.  You now have your tea contained in the mesh ball "teabag".

Now put into your cup, add boiling water, allow it to brew if necessary and then enjoy.

To clean when you have finished your tea, allow it cool, open the 2 halves and dispose of the used tea leaves.  Hand wash in warm, soapy water.

Hope this helps.  Any more questions just ask.

Infusers can be made into one of our letterbox friendly mini hampers.   You can choose your contents - everything is fully customisable for any occassion.  Each mini hamper will be beautifully hand packed in pretty tissue paper with your greeting on the top so it is the first thing seen by your friend or loved one.

All hampers will include a personalised message from you, along with good quality chocolates or biscuits customised to match the message.

Please get in touch if there is something you would like to discuss.
